Dear Danny,

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the ongoing violence against activists and political prisoners in Bahrain. I appreciate hearing your views on this sensitive issue.

As a member of the Congressional Humanities Caucus, I share your outrage at the continuing atrocities in Bahrain, including the imprisonment and torture of human rights activists. Last October the caucus held a briefing to raise its concerns over human rights abuses in Bahrain to the U.S. State Department and the government of Bahrain. I have also expressed my concerns directly with the State Department Bahrain Desk Officer. I will continue to urge my colleagues on the Caucus on International Religious Freedom to bring more attention to this urgent and important issue.

Again, thank you for the benefit of your thoughts on this issue. If I may be of assistance to you or your family, please do not hesitate to call on me.

Stay in touch,
B G
Member of Congress
